Yes you can use any of products on a non production/test environment first.AdSeller Pro does allow you place/target ads in a specific board. Just check which boards you want the ad to appear on.

Make sure it is part of the same user group as apache/webserver Also make sure the file has excute permissions.The program for sure. Maybe the whole directory if it is saving information to that folder.
